Halloween | Sugar skull and Zaful blood choker

halloween make up sugar skull - dia de los muertos

I'm still pretty right?! ha ha ha... Honestly I never did Halloween make up or costume since we don't celebrate it in my country, so this is my first time trying!!! I was inspired with so many make up artists that actually did the sugar skull make up for Halloween so I wanted to try it for myself. And it's also costume for Dia de los muertos in Mexican culture, and for me, being half Latin, was just the right transformation.

It actually took me half an hour or so, it was easy to do and I didn't really needed much things for this last minute costume. The only make up I used was black eyeshadow, red lipstick pencil and black eyeliner, and that is it, simple!!!

The only accessories are the flowers (you can find them anywhere or you probably have some in your house) and this RED VELVET BLOOD CHOKER that I got from an online store called ZAFUL. Zaful is your one-stop online shop for today’s most daring, exciting and edgy fashion apparel. Their affordable collections are all about redefining trends, design excellence and exceptional quality to satisfy the needs of every aspiring fashionista. The original idea is to share the latest news and fashion trends on women’s clothing with fashion-forward, free-thinking girls, and they offer the fast fashion worldwide. I had great experience shopping with them, and the quality of each piece that I got is just amazing.

I highly recommend you to check them out for yourselves and to stay tuned cause I'm gonna be styling more pieces that I got from this store.

Trend | Anklets and their meaning

trend anklets ankle bracelets

An anklet, also called ankle chain, ankle bracelet or ankle string, is an ornament worn around the ankle. Barefoot anklets and toe rings historically have been worn for centuries by girls and women in India, where it is commonly known as payal. They have also been worn by Egyptian women since predynastic times.

A woman who wears an ankle bracelet on her right ankle is indicating that she is in a relationship. A woman who wears an ankle bracelet on her left ankle is indicating that she is single and is happy to be approached by members of the opposite sex. If a woman wears an ankle bracelet on both ankles she is indicating that she is in a relationship, but still open to approach.

Ankle bracelets are flirtatious and playful. It is frowned upon to wear anklets in a formal setting such as the workplace. Anklets can be made of silver, gold and other less precious metals as well as leather, plastic, nylon, beads and other such materials. In the western world anklets or ankle chains are mainly worn by younger females, but some older women also wear them.

What ever the case is they are a huge trend right now, so you can wear them for aesthetic purposes or with a meaning behind them, it's your choice, the only thing you need to consider is - are you gonna rock them with heels, flats or no shoes at all!!! ;)

Outfit | 3 ways to style denim on denim

3 ways to style denim on denim

I've seen myself going back to styling denim on denim over and over again ;) This time I styled denim shirt with mom style jeans. There is something so chic and fresh looking about denim especially when it's light wash.

Since I already styled it on my blog in my previous posts I'm leaving you links to these 2 previous looks - shirt and shorts HERE and denim dungarees and shirt HERE if you wanna check them out. I actually wore the same denim shirt in all of the outfits, it's a light wash denim shirt from that you can still find HERE. I think this way of styling denim is comfortable and put together at the same time!

What do you guys think?! Do you have a favorite way of styling denim on denim!?

New season new hair

lob long bob hairstyle

Oh yes I did it I chopped my hair off!!! ;)

My hair has been long since forever and I never thought of cutting it shorter, but this time I was like I'm so bored and it's so unhealthy looking that I just had to cut it. I actually did it the moment I got back for our vacation, the sun and the salt did even more damage to it that I didn't hesitate and I chopped it off myself :) Also my ends were turning so yellow, even when I cut it I had to dye it all one color. Went for bit darker color for fall, buy I'm considering going even darker!!!

As for my outfit. I recently got this yellow jacket from New Yorker and I think it's just a perfect color for fall, I just love mustard yellow. And the jacket makes a great contrast to my hair as well. Everything else I kept pretty casual, since it was a lovely day for a stroll.

Trend | Top 5 styles of choker neklaces

lace up choker necklace kim kardashian

Another weekend another trend talk ;) This one you probably already seen and tried for yourself - choker necklace. Yes they made a huge came back from the 90s but with a modern twist and in all shapes and sizes! I'm showing you here just a few versions I've seen and that I love.

1. LACE UP CHOKERS - The newest version is the lace up ones that even celebrities are rocking. They are so hot and trendy but bit bold and out there, maybe not for everyone's taste.

2. CORD CHOKERS - I really like the cord chokers cause you can wear them in so many different ways and styles, wrap them around your neck and let the ends lose or tie them in a bow or knot.

3. LAYERED CHOKERS are cool as well, you just layer couple of chokers together. Cord with silver or gold ones or just a couple of black ones, let your imagination do the job.

4. SIMPLE SINGLE CHOKER - You can always wear a simple dainty ones for an everyday look.

5. LACE CHOKERS -  for a romantic night out ;) And best thing of all is that you can easily make one yourself with some materials you probably already have around the house!

P.S. An additional one that I forgot to mention would be a bling bling choker for when you are feeling extra fabulous 😉.

What do you think!? Which one is your fave!?

Outfit | Grey matching set

matching set two piece skirt and crop top

One more night in Greece! It was an amazing experience and it's over now, back to reality. Now I'm starting to think what am I going to do, I quit my job just before we left on a vacation, got back to university and got my diploma! I'm now officially Spanish language professor!!! YaY!!! Now I'll have to find a job that suits me and that I like. It's gonna be hard, especially in my country, my options are limited, but what can you do. I'm gonna be optimistic about it and see what God has planned for me ;)

Outfit | Last beach day

beach ootd matching set shorts and crop top

This was our last day on the beach ;( so sad!!! I already know how much I'm gonna miss this place. It was an amazing adventure for us, noting planned ahead but everything turned out perfect. If other things in life would just end up that way. You know how you always plan and imagine something and everything opposite happens or nothing at all, maybe the right thing is to let go and not plan anything just let it happen the way it supposed to. Like that's an easy task, right, well I'll try from now on ;) Like I mentioned in one of my previous post I was living in matching sets whole summer so this day was not different. This set I got from Koton store in a shopping mall. I think this white and blue combo was perfect for blending in with the scenery.

Trend | Velvet shoes, dress, top, jacket, blazer...

velvet shoes sandals boots

I can safely say that velvet everything is on trend right now!!! Starting from velvet sandals to fall velvet boots, from velvet dresses and tops to fall velvet jackets!!! You name it and it's probably made out of velvet right now ;) How many times did I just wrote velvet, he he, but it's so true, I see it everywhere and you too probably, not just in clothes and shoes but in accessories too, like bags and choker necklaces. I'm loving it actually, not gonna wear it from head to toe, but some of the pieces most certainly I will, my favorite are the boots and dresses, maybe cause I'm in a fall mood but I just love velvet in fall colors and for fall season!
What do you guys think YaY or NaY!?

Outfit | Karaoke night

styling culottes zara crop top bershka

To be completely honest I have never been to a karaoke before, so I didn't really knew what to expect! I was quite surprised how fun it was, I mean I was pretty much laughing all the time. They organized it first for kids and then for adults. They were supposed to have little competition in dancing alone, that in pars and at the end at singing. It was absolutely hilarious, not in a negative way, just so much fun. I give them so much credit for walking out like that in front of everyone I know I wouldn't do it, not in a million years. I was there just to watch, drink my bear and have fun. Since I didn't know what to expect I kinda went for casual chic with my look, not to dressy not to casual. And these culottes pants. omg, can we just talk about them ;) they give me life, so perfect, the style, the print, everything. I found them in Zara on sale for like $10, and I love them so much.
Have you guys been to Karaoke before!? What was your experience like!?
P.S. These two girlfriends of mine were participating too, crazy fun!!!

Outfit | Klimataria beach (Greece)

outfit klimataria beach greece summer vacation

Exploring Greek beaches was my favorite part of the vacation. I just love finding beautiful beaches that are hidden somewhere and not many people go there. This one is called Klimataria beach and it's perfect little beach with gorgeous turquoise water and it's surrounded by rocks. There were some big waves the day we went there, and the wave got me two times, I actually got pretty scared cause I can't swim :/ But everything else was just right, drinking coffee and relaxing all day...

Outfit | White dress and pom pom sandals

white dress and pom pom sandals vacation outfit ootd

I know it's fall and it's cold and rainy, well at least here in my country, but I still have to share with you few summer vacation outfits and Greek scenery! By this time I already had some tan so I wore a white dress just to make it pop bit more. Since the dress is quite simple and breezy I added a pop of color with my DIY pom pom sandals. Yes I made another par of these, these were just simple tan sandals from New Yorker and I added some tassels and some pom poms and made them bit more interesting and unique. This evening was just lovely, we went for a walk, had dinner and them grabbed few bears with our friends!

Outfit | Greek nights (part 3)

off shoulder top, floral print pants, red lips

I have noticed that when ever I'm on a vacation I tend to wear things I usually don't wear at home or I rarely do. Not talking about this outfit in particular but now looking back at all the stuff I wore, I'm like I wouldn't wear that combo here ;) does that happen to you guys!? There is one thing on these photos that I actually rarely wear at home - red lipstick. My hubby loves it, but I just feel uncomfortable wearing it, it just has to be some special occasion or I just end up feeling overdressed and I don't like that feeling. This evening I was in a mood for all red and white (accept the shoes) and I think it end up being pretty chic :) he he. Talking about the shoes, I didn't bring along with me to many pars so I know I'm on a repeat, it is what it is... just another Greek night.

I spent whole summer in matching sets or separates how ever you wanna call them. They are so easy to style and trow on I even prefer them over dresses. This one was perfect to blend in with all the greens and palm trees of Greece. This set I got while ago from so I don't think it's available any more but they have so many cute ones that you can check out HERE
I'm still not done with my vacation photos and outfits so stay tuned for more to come ;)

Outfit | Vacation date night

lookbookstore maxi dress, gladiator sandals, boho style

One of the things I love the most is when you spend whole day on a beach you come to your room and refresh yourself and get ready for a dinner date. I just enjoy those moments when I'm just putting my make up on, styling my hair and deciding what to wear knowing the evening is gonna be warm and welcoming. For this date night with my hubby I wore my maxi dress that I got from a while ago, that sadly is not available any more. I was feeling bit boho, so I added my leather cord choker and gladiator sandals to add some finishing touches. I think this blue color of the dress blended in so well with the scenery ;)
What do you guys think?!
